Code Camp

Researchers and lecturers in the Department of Geography use a range of coding and development tools to do their work. For many students, their exposure to programming concepts – if any – was a long time ago; the Code Camp section of the Kings’ Geocomputation web site is designed to give you access to a range of foundational materials designed to familiarise you with the core concepts of computer programming and how we go about ‘writing code’.

We use both Python and R in our teaching. The Python pages are more developed than the R pages, but both aim to have a (mild) geographical slant!
